Metapurse announces B.20
āB.20ā stands for Beeple 20. As in, the 20 pieces of art that NFT fund Metapurse acquired for $2.2 million.
And soon, you can own a piece of it, because Metapurse is fractionalizing the collection.
If youāre new to fractionalizing, hereās what it means:
Currently, the art NFTs are displayed across 4 virtual museums in CryptoVoxels, Decentraland, and Somnium Space. Metapurse has decided to put all of that, museums and all, into a bundle. That bundle then becomes tokens!
Think about that for a second. Soon, you can go to a decentralized exchange and buy a token that gives you some ownership to:
Iconic art
Virtual land parcels, from popular projects
The museums built on those parcels
Music from 3LAU
Crazy, right? Itās really unprecedented, and we love Metapurseās reasoning behind it.
Metapurseās mission is to democratize accessĀ andĀ ownership to highly sought-after artwork and accelerate the cultural Renaissance that is happening within the metaverse. We believe we truly achieved this with B.20 - the name of a massive NFT bundle we are fractionalizing so that everyone can have ownership over the first large scale public art project within the metaverse. It is important to note that weāre fractionalizing ownership, not the assets themselves. These fractions will be available as 1.6 million B.20 tokens, and can be referred to as the ākeysā to this digital vault.Ā
Weāre hyped about this š„ Itās not everyday that someone decides to sell ownership to museums that hold a collection as good as this. Even if you donāt like Beepleās style, you canāt deny his work ethicāthe manās made a piece of work everyday, for the past 13 years!
Soon, we can all get a piece of it.
If youāre as excited as we are, go attend the launch festival, Metapalooza, on January 23rd from 6:00 - 7:30 pm CST. And if you want to learn more, hereās the announcement, the tokenomics, and the B.20 website!

Creative corner: Shin Oh
If you were skimming through a feed, you might think that Shin just makes photographic compositions.
But then you zoom in, and you realize that theyāre voxels, and then that just changes everything. Just look at the detail on that Christmas tree!
Shinās compositions are already beautifully evocative. But with her style so reminiscent of Legos, her work just feels like childhood. Everythingās more simple and more complex, all at the same time.
We hope that description makes sense. š

Take note: Aavegotchi migration program
Weāve covered Aavegotchi deciding to move the Matic network before. Since then, theyāve announced a whole Matic liquidity mining program, with up to $100,000 in incentives.
Thatās a really good opportunity, but itās also a bit scary to move assets to another network. If youāre interested, you have until the 29th to slowly get ready.
